Adjust the air springs to obtain the desired ride height. If no leaks are found, reinstall the wheels and place the vehicle on a level surface. Conforming to the specifications concerning air pressure requirements in the installation manual, slowly fill the air springs with air and check for leaks.Use the included plastic tie-wraps to secure air lines where required. Be careful to secure air line away from moving parts and sharp or hot objects. Run the included air line from the air springs to the included Schrader valve (or to an on-board air compressor system) according to the installation manual.RideControl kits include an exclusive alignment tool to help with mounting the upper and lower brackets. Carefully position and secure the air spring assembly to the frame (if a LoadLifter 5000 or RideControl kit) or insert air springs inside the coil springs (if a Air Lift 1000 kit) according to the installation manual.Use all of the bolts, washers, and lock nuts provided with the kit. For LoadLifter 5000 series kits: Position the upper and lower mounting brackets over the air spring creating the air spring assembly.Some kits do not require you to remove the wheels for installation. Raise the vehicle on a hoist or jack stands and remove the wheels.If any part that is on the list is not provided in the kit, stop and contact Air Lift customer service. Then make sure that you have the necessary tools to complete the job and proceed to step 2. Front & rear systems include 6 sensors (the rear pair can be installed along the side of the car for situations like when the vehicle is stopped over a speed bump).Easy is a relative term. Automated systems can also be activated manually. This system is activated whenever the vehicle is driven under 25 mph. The vehicle will lower once it is detected that the obstacle has passed. This patented feature uses advanced proximity sensors that are constantly monitored by the ECU to raise the vehicle when an obstacle is detected. Optionally, sensors can be added to provide automated raising and lowering of the vehicle. The iLIFT Suspension Lift System can be activated with a switch to raise and lower the vehicle (with either a factory switch or the included rocker switch). Cars with very low ground clearance, or with low rear overhanging diffusers and exhausts can further benefit from lifting both the front and rear. Lifting the front of the car protects the front bumper and spoiler – typically the parts most prone to damage.
